The Opportunity:
Uplift, a new vibrant queer bar, is seeking experienced and motivated bartenders to join our team. If you’re passionate about mixology, find joy in connecting with others, and are focused on delivering exceptional customer service, we want you on our team.
At Uplift, we’re building a neighborhood bar that serves our community well with fast, quality service and a welcoming atmosphere. We want you to know our patrons, and we want them to know you, too! Our space will be intimate during weekdays and lively and fast paced on the weekends.

Responsibilities
Create a welcoming atmosphere and provide top-notch service to all patrons
Prepare a wide array of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages quickly
Check all customer identification to confirm it meets legal drinking age
Assess customer needs and make recommendations when asked
Prepare and restock bar inventory when necessary
Release food orders to patrons from the bar
Lead or assist with opening and/or closing depending upon shift
Assist with drink menu updates
Qualifications
2+ years working experience as a bartender
Excellent knowledge of classic and contemporary drink recipes
Computer literacy, especially with point of sales software
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Positive attitude and desire to work in a fast-paced environment
TIPS certification or equivalent
Ability to handle the physical requirements of the job, including lifting heavy items and standing for long periods of time
Participate in mandatory health, safety and Uplift-specific training
Preferred Qualifications
Conversational proficiency in multiple languages is a plus (but not required)
Experience working within LGBTQ+ community spaces.
